Horsham Road

Interior remodelling and complete renovation of a four-storey Victorian townhouse in Dorking, Surrey. The house had been untouched for many decades and required a full services upgrade throughout to accommodate modern family life.

Thankfully the house had retained much of its original character and integrity on the upper floors. The client brief was to restore as many period features as possible and we employed a talented team of craftspeople to breathe new life into the home, inside and out.

Harp & Harp’s main remodelling work took place on the home’s lower ground floor, which was in a state of complete disrepair and without a functioning kitchen. We opened up the space completely, placing a bespoke hand-painted kitchen at the heart of the home, with new living and dining spaces around it and a new utility room to the rear. Enlarged openings to the side and rear create a better connection to the garden and ensure the house feels light-filled and spacious. Custom joinery and interior design work combine to showcase the breadth of our refurbishment services.
