A development of nine new homes in the centre of Morden, forming part of the ongoing regeneration of the area. The design was formulated through a successful and collaborative pre-application process with Merton Council. On a tightly constrained site, we sought to minimise the impact on neighbouring properties whilst providing high quality new accommodation in a range of sizes.
Despite the constraints, each home (several of them duplexes) is dual aspect and flooded with daylight, making the most of outlook wherever possible.
Architecturally, the design draws from the 1930s Art Deco style that predominates in the surrounding town centre, appearing as a contemporary but complementary addition to Morden’s evolution.
