Lucien Road

A highly sustainable, speculative new-build house on the site of a former garage at the end of an existing terrace in Wimbledon Park. The house sits within an established context and is designed to reference both the 1930s Arts and Crafts terrace to which it is attached and the more formal Edwardian houses opposite, while being unmistakably contemporary.

Details such as the black and white tiles around the entrance echo the tiled paths of its neighbours, and the banded brickwork picks up the red and grey of the terrace. Internally, the house is designed to feel modern — large windows flood it with light and give most rooms a dual aspect — but also charming and characterful, akin to its older neighbours.
